My 2011 Outback Sport had recently had a SUPER loud idle the last two days it has been -7 degrees, is this normal? Goes away soon as it's warm

Probably idling around 2000/2500 upon start up?

Yeah, my car made some unsavory noises today when I started it up. Cars don't like these temps any more than we do.

Between the air pump, TGVs, and less than ideal conditions on the intake seals, you'll hear some weirdness. My air pump tends to squeal and make weird grinding noises when it gets below 10' or so. I think the bearing might be going out. Hopefully I'll get some help to just remove the damn thing. I already did the TGV deletes (not one word JP!) and no cats, so the pump is pointless. Just a PITA to remove. Probably worse than the TGVs.
