Hey all, I am in need of new tires before the winter and was gathering opinions on what everyone likes. I currently have the stock Bridgestone Potenzas my 2011 OBS came with and at 42k they are about done. I have been eyeing some Cooper RS3-As but not sure how they would perform in snow/Ice. What does everyone like?

I was also thinking about getting the Coopers. I heard that the contentinal pure contacts are good too.

You'd need to get studs for the tire, ad I don't think you can have those around these parts. Those are just studdable
+1 for Continentals. DWS is a great all season from what I am hearing. If you're looking into a winter tire and have the money you might look into the newer Blizaak

On a side note I really wish 11' stock WRX wheels fit my OBS because I absolutely love them

We have Continental ExtremeContact DWS on velostard's veloster turbo, and they feel great. Huge upgrade from stock, but her stock tires were pretty crappy. The Coopers sound pretty good though, generally getting good reviews from everyone. If you feel like a small gamble, they'd be pretty tempting if they're cheaper.

On a side note I really wish 11' stock WRX wheels fit my OBS because I absolutely love them Stock 11+ WRX wheels don't fit the OBS? Aren't you 5x100 with the same hub as the 08-10 WRX? I thought those should fit.

I just put some Yokohama Avid all season tires on my ride. It's much cheaper than Continentals, and works great in the snow. I've driven to from St. Louis to Cleveland, Niagara Falls, Nashville, Atlanta, and Pensacola (not all on the same trip, lol) on the Avids on my wife's Murano over the past 3 years and she just now needs some new tires. The trip to Cleveland included some heavy snow/ice and we had to actually try to lose traction if we wanted to break the tires loose. Here's a pic of them on my car (255/35/R18):

Damn those new rims look good. How bad's the brake dust been on the fronts so far?

Damn those new rims look good. How bad's the brake dust been on the fronts so far? Not bad, it definitely shows dirt and grime more than the black wheels did. But I think it's worth the trade off for how awesome they look, lol.

2011 WRX wheels: 5x100 +53 17x8
2011 Outback Sport wheels: 5x100 +55 17x7
They will absolutely fit, no problem. If you can find some, buy them and be happy!
