So I bought my car a few months ago and I'm starting to fix it up a bit and I want to set up a better suspension for my DD. I want a summer set up and I'll switch back to stock suspension and tires during winter. What I'm looking for in a summer set up: New wheels and tires, new struts and springs, lower car hieght. Now my question is: what are my options? What year/version parts can I use? I found a Cusco rear sway bar on NASIOC 93-01 impreza specific parts for sale and was wondering if a 19mm sway bar would be any good? I have a Cusco front strut bar already and want a Cusco RSB to match because...I need them to or it will bother me lol. I would post a link but I can't log in here on my laptop for some reason and I can't post pics of my car from my phone either. As for struts I see that most people like the KYB struts. As for springs, I've seen someone using STI pink springs that lower the car too, but I don't know what years I can use? As for wheels I am looking at Sparco Assetto Garas.
Thanks for any feedback!

In my 99 rs I am currently running with kyb struts with eibach's coilover conversion kit. Basically its just a spring that you can have whatever spring rate you want and there is a collar that you can use to raise or lower the car.
I also have whiteline's 22 adjustable rsb with their solid endlinks.
I absolutely love the way it handles for a dd, its not annoyingly stiff but yet it handles well too.

KYBs are pretty common, but I dont think STI pink springs lower it any, just stiffer. 19 rear sway is alright. What size wheels? RSs are really finicky to what fits.....

Thanks guys! I'm either going to a 17X7.5 or 18X8. I think the 18s are 8 wide, maybe they are 7.5 too I'd have to look. So should I get a different size sway bar since the 19 is just alright? Would it be better to get a different size? I read the other thread here about sways but I don't think I saw anything about 19mm sways, that's why I asked. I don't see too many coil conversions for sale. I see a lot of springs or coils. There is a coil set for sale for $600. Or buying struts and springs are about $600 or a bit more. I'm not doing any aggressive driving or anything. But I want a nice look and comfertable drive.

Well, just speaking from experience, I had a 17mm on the rear, and it was too loose, and just got a 22mm adjustable, and its awesome. 19 may be a little soft, but its way better than stock. 17x7.5 +48 with 215/45/17 tires is the perfect combo for stock no rubbing. Go bigger tire like a 225, and youll rub a little without some rolling of the fender or a +5? offset, but the more offset, the closer you get to rubbing on the strut body. 18x8 seems like its gonna rub, but I cant say for sure. As for springs, I have Prodrive P1s and STI V6 pinks, and they are great! Again, cant say what else works well, as this is all Ive had. If the 19mm bar is a good deal, get it. You can always sell it later if you dont like it.

Thanks guys. Those coil set ups are nice! Yeah I think I'll go with the 17" wheels. What year are version 6 springs?

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just continue this one lol. I found these on NASIOC and was wondering if anyone thought these were good enough to jump on. I figure I'm gonna need a new setup as my car has 200K+ on it. I really like the stock ride height but maybe I can find different springs later. Thanks everyone!

I am running those struts as we speak, brand new they are about 100 a corner, I also have stock springs sitting in my basement, have about 170000 miles on them though, I'd give them to you for dirt cheap just so I could see them leave.
Let me know if you'd be interested
