There are two groups that run autocrosses in St. Louis: SCCA and BSCC. Both hold events at the Family Arena parking lot in St Charles. The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is the official autocross - if you want to go to regional and national competitions, SCCA is the main one to get involved in. Cost is $35, plus either a weekend membership or an annual membership. More information on the SCCA St Louis Autocross ("Solo") can be found here. It used to be that the SCCA only had 3 runs per driver per event, but I've heard they've started offering more runs lately. The Boeing Sports Car Club (BSCC) puts on their own autocrosses independent of the SCCA. Cost is $35 for six runs, no membership fees. You should arrive sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 to get registered. You do not have to be an Boeing employee to participate. Email Racer Steve at sshab@yahoo.com for more info. The BSCC autocrosses are definitely low-key compared to the SCCA and are more focused on having fun, as well as being cheaper. I am under the impression both groups have free helmet rental, so no helmet purchase is required if you just want to try it out, or if you want to ride along with a friend. All you need is a mechanically sound car and a driver's license (and entry fee).

Excuses like "my car is stock" or "I don't have enough suspension mods yet" will not be tolerated!

Excuses like "my car is stock" or "I don't have enough suspension mods yet" will not be tolerated! I'd like to point out that I think dkdekes has run just 5 seconds behind the leader on a stock car, and that I still have trouble with upgraded front and rear sway bars and end links. velostard runs a stock Veloster Turbo, and there's a girl there that runs a stock Toyota Yaris. The only excuse is "my car is literally falling apart right now and leaking fluids everywhere."
