First off, the car is a 98 wrx swapped gc. I have a 22mm adjustable front sway. And to replace my pencil thick rear sway, i was thinking about using my 17mm legacy SS rsb. Does anyone see a size problem?
I kinda feel like it needs at least 20mm and 04+mounts.

yea, i'd say 20 is probably the max i'd go. having a bigger front bar is so nice in these AWD cars.

Ryan loves his 25mm front and adjustable 22 rear ^This Tribeca 25mm FSB - $65ish from any dealership. Bolts up no problem. 22-24mm RS set to the middle hole. This setup IMO makes the car very predictable and neutral. I am able to force oversteer if needed and it will still understeer enough if I do something really stupid.

Hard to compare 08+ with the older suspension geometries, I thought (hence besthaticouldo having a different opinion). I have a 20 mm adjustable rear on an '08 WRX sedan, and if I were never going to volunteer on rally stages with it, I'd consider going a little bigger. Wouldn't go any bigger than 20 mm adjustable for a daily in STL though. Now, if you were trustkevin13 and were going to the land of smooth roads and no hills and goddamn jayhawks, you could afford a little bigger. :-P

oh Memmek2k, you silly goose. I'm running 25mm and 22mm, its great. you really feel the roads in turns but it is a hint rough on daily roads in stl, you feel how uneven the actual roads are. Livable but you'd be giving a little extra comfort.

I personally have a 22mm rear and it's fine. There's two schools of thought with suspension.
1. Stiff dampening and springs and smaller bars (>22mm) 2. Softer dampening and springs and thicker bars (<22mm)
This is for road racing and autox, but honestly I've driven 08+ cars set up both ways and my favorite all time set up is RCE Tarmac2s with RCE 25.5mm front and rear with front full stiff and rear full soft and kartboy sway bar endlinks and a full corner balance. That car didn't act funny at all. Drove it for 3 days while my car was getting it's clutch done.
Right now I am on 417lb front and 396lb rear and a stock front and 22mm rear.
Whole set up is changing soon, but if anyone wants a ride let me know. Tires are so big and sticky that it's really hard to get a gauge of the amount of insane grip I have while on the street. Let's just say on the street or on the track I haven't found the point where the car is scary to me.

I like my 22mm on the GC, set to the softer of the 2 settings. Its just fine, not too stiff at all.
